How Letter Quest handles — and does not handle — your information.

App Letter Quest Package com.cyberdevspvtltd.letterquest Effective 11 August 2026 Updated 11 August 2026

The short version

01 About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Letter Quest (package name com.cyberdevspvtltd.letterquest), referred to here as “the app”, “we”, or “us”, treats information belonging to the people who use it.

Letter Quest is a single-player offline word puzzle game distributed through Google Play. By installing and using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please uninstall the app.

This policy is written to satisfy the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the User Data policy, the Families Policy, and the Data safety disclosure requirements, as well as applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, and COPPA.

02 Information we collect

We collect nothing. Letter Quest does not collect, request, transmit, sell, or share any personal or sensitive user data. There is no registration, no sign-in, no user profile, and no server that the app communicates with.

Specifically, the app does not access or collect any of the following:

Data typeCollected?Notes
Name, email, phone numberNeverThe app has no accounts or forms.
Location (GPS or approximate)NeverNo location APIs are used.
Contacts, calendar, SMS, call logsNeverNo such permissions are declared.
Photos, camera, microphone, filesNeverThe app has no media features.
Device or advertising identifiersNeverNo advertising ID is read.
Installed apps listNeverNo package queries are performed.
Usage or diagnostic analyticsNeverNo analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included.
Financial or payment informationNeverThe app has no purchases of any kind.

Because no data leaves your device, there is no data for us to receive, review, or misuse.

03 Data stored on your device

So the game can remember where you left off, Letter Quest saves a small amount of gameplay information in the app's own private storage area on your device, using the standard Android SharedPreferences mechanism. This information never leaves your device and is not readable by other apps.

What is saved locally:

  • Level progress: which levels are unlocked and completed, and the stars and best score for each.
  • Game statistics: words found, puzzles completed, hints used, best streak, total play time, and high score.
  • Your coin balance and claimed achievements or daily rewards.
  • Preferences: theme colour, font size, animation speed, high contrast, colour blind mode, and left-handed layout.
  • The last category and game mode you selected.

None of this is personal information, none of it identifies you, and none of it is transmitted anywhere. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Reset Progress inside the app, or by uninstalling the app.

04 Permissions

The published release build of Letter Quest declares no Android runtime or install-time permissions. The app does not request access to the internet, storage, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or any other protected resource.

If your device shows “No permissions required” for this app, that is expected and correct. Because there is no network permission, the app is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere, even accidentally.

05 Third-party services

Letter Quest contains no third-party SDKs. In particular, the app does not include:

  • Advertising networks or ad mediation of any kind.
  • Analytics, attribution, or measurement tools.
  • Crash reporting or performance monitoring services.
  • Social network logins, sharing kits, or leaderboards.
  • In-app purchases, subscriptions, or payment processors.

The only external party involved in your use of the app is Google Play, which distributes and updates the app. Any data Google collects as the app store operator is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is outside our control and our visibility.

06 Children's privacy

Letter Quest is a word puzzle game suitable for a general audience, including children, and is designed to comply with the Google Play Families Policy and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). There is no advertising, no in-app purchasing, no social feature, no chat, no user-generated content, and no external link that a child could follow into an unmoderated environment.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has somehow provided information to us, please contact us at the address in section 15 and we will respond promptly. In practice, since no data is transmitted or stored off the device, there is nothing for us to hold or delete on our side.

07 Data sharing and sale

We do not share, disclose, rent, trade, or sell user data to anyone, for any purpose, because we do not hold any user data. There are no advertising partners, no data brokers, and no affiliates receiving information from this app.

We would only ever disclose information if legally compelled to do so by a valid order from a competent authority — and in that event we would have nothing to disclose, since no user data is collected or retained by us.

08 Data security

Letter Quest's approach to security is to hold nothing. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no server database to breach, no account credential to steal, and no transmission to intercept.

The gameplay data described in section 3 is kept in the app's private storage sandbox, which the Android operating system isolates from other applications. Protecting the device itself — through a screen lock, up-to-date system software, and installing apps only from trusted sources — remains the user's responsibility.

09 Retention and deletion

We retain no user data, so there is no retention period on our side.

The local gameplay data on your device is kept for as long as the app is installed. You can remove it in either of these ways:

  • Inside the app: open Settings → Reset Progress and confirm. This clears levels, stars, statistics, coins, and preferences immediately.
  • From Android: go to Settings → Apps → Letter Quest → Storage and choose Clear data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all app data permanently.

Deleted local data cannot be recovered, as no backup copy exists anywhere.

10 Your rights under the GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, data protection law grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with regard to your personal data, along with the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Letter Quest does not process any personal data as defined by the GDPR, and we act as neither a controller nor a processor of your personal data. As a result, there is no personal data of yours for us to provide, correct, export, or erase. You retain full and direct control of the on-device gameplay data described in section 3, which you can delete at any time as described in section 9.

11 Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Letter Quest does not collect personal information, does not sell or share personal information, and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not sold or shared any personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not collect information from consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

12 International users

The app is available worldwide through Google Play. Since all app data stays on your own device and nothing is transmitted, there is no international transfer of data, no cross-border processing, and no storage of data in any country other than wherever your device happens to be.

13 Links to other sites

The app itself contains no advertising links or external browsing. This policy page links only to Google's own privacy documentation. If you follow such a link, the privacy practices of that destination apply and we are not responsible for its content or policies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

14 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the app gains a new feature or if legal requirements change. Any revised version will be posted at this same address with an updated effective date at the top of the page, and the in-app copy of the policy will be updated to match in the next app release.

Material changes will be reflected in the app's Google Play Data safety section as well. Continuing to use the app after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
